Nitmiluk National Park

Just 30 kilomteres north east of Katherine 13 magnificent gorges with options for all levels of fitness to enjoy. Nitmiluk experiences include boat cruises, canoe hire, light plane and helicopter flights and trekking.
Edith Falls is located on the western side of Nitmulk National park, a 60 km drive north of Katherine. Try swimming and snorkelling in the plunge pools around Edith Falls. The area has a series of spring fed waterfalls and pools to explore.
An easy 160km's along the sealed Victoria Highway. A must see in the Katherine Region. Great Fishing, spectacular hiking and World Class Bird Watching & stunning scenery. No swimming.
Famous for its thermal pools, Mataranka has much to offer the day-tripper. 104km south of Katherine you will find the Elsey National Park, Bitter Springs, botanic walks, termite mounds, the Never Never Museum.

Take one of the daily guided tours and view the Northern Territory's only limestone caves offering public access. Cutta Cutta is home to a variety of wildlife species, and is a beautiful place to spend time.
Umbrawarra is a striking gorge with sharp red cliffs and sandstone overhangs. 80km's north of Katherine. Turn off on unsealed road for 25km's. Swimming permitted due to seasonal conditions. Stunning scenery & bird watching.
90 minute drive, turn off on dirt road 85km's down the Victoria Highway. Stunning springs and limestone tufa formations. Great fishing & camping facilities. No swimming. 4WD recommended.
