Where the Tropics meet the Desert

Katherine region stretches the width of the Northern Territory, from the Gulf of Carpentaria to its border with Western Australia.

	North Follow the Stuart Highway north to Pine Creek and join Nature’s Way. Circuit through the tropical beauty of Kakadu National Park and Litchfield National Park.
	South Katherine is an early stop on the Explorers Way, from Darwin to Adelaide. Experience the tropics, grasslands and desert in one epic journey. North West Take the Stuart Highway through to Darwin and you’re at the Top End.
	South West Take the Victoria Highway and you’re on the Savannah Way, heading for the Kimberley, and onto Broome. East Head east from Katherine and join the Barkly Highway and the Savannah Way leads you through the Gulf Country and onto Cairns.
	South East Head out to Timber Creek on the Victoria Highway and experience Binns Track, the NT’s latest four-wheel drive track through some 2000 kilometres of the Territory’s lesser known National Parks and reserves.
